Grades: Pre K - 2nd
Pre-K-2nd grade students will have 3 hours of culinary experiences that teach basic ‘chef-style’ age-appropriate mini-lessons. Our fun and fast-paced experience includes handwashing & germs, shapes and colors, force and motion, and personal and professional manners.
Students will learn personal space preparation, cooking, food prep, and post-pandemic cleaning of food preparation areas.
Students will learn about balanced diets using the USDAMyPlate.com model, how to knead dough, and work safely with kitchen tools. Students will prepare their own healthy meals & model manners in a food preparation space.
Students will blueprint a signature dessert and create it from our food maker pantry. All programs include lunch, beverages, and dessert for all students and chaperones.

3rd-8th/9-12th grades
3rd-8th/9th-12th grade students will have 4 hours of culinary experiences that teach and tell a story about foods that helped carve out California’s culture and history. Students will explore the impact of diversity in California Culinary Culture and even blueprint and build a CA landmark from food.
Design thinking will take our culinary explorers to become culinary architects as we use food to discuss food inspiration and fusion. Program includes materials and supplies, site coordination, certificates, program development, scheduling, pre/post visit materials and all consumables including food, equipment and beverages for all programs.
Participants will experience this 4 hour experience engaging in hands-on basic ‘chef-style’ age appropriate mini lessons. Our fun and fast paced experience includes handwashing & germs, fermentation, butter making, and participate in a Capsity ‘Hot Pot Challenge’. Students will learn personal space preparation, cooking, food prep, and post-pandemic cleaning of food preparation areas.
Using experiential learning techniques, students will cook their own lunch, and work with safe kitchen tools while preparing their own healthy meals. Students will blueprint their own signature sundae. All programs include lunch, beverages and dessert for all students and chaperones.

Grades 6-8th / 9th-12th
Participants will participate in a ‘Chopped” style mystery ingredient challenge to cook their own signature pasta. Participants will engage in a blueprint and design thinking will take our young culinary explorers to become culinary architects. We will also have a STEAM hands-on dry ice experimentation and we’ll end with a demonstration of centrifugal force and a sweet treat.
6-8th grade & 9-12th grade participants will experience 4 hours of culinary experiences that explore the different career opportunities, expectations and skills needed in the culinary industry. Students will meet with our resident chef and hear their background, research opportunities and wages of different culinary careers.
Program includes program design and hosted curriculum, materials and supplies, site coordination, culinary event staff, micro certifications, program development, scheduling, pre/post visit materials and all consumables including food, equipment and beverages for all programs.
Participants will experience this 4 hour experience engaging in hands-on basic ‘chef-style’ age appropriate mini-lessons. Our fun and fast paced experience includes handwashing & germs, and personal and professional kitchen protocol. Participants will learn personal space preparation, cooking, food prep, and post-pandemic cleaning of food preparation areas.

9th grade through adult participants will engage in a diverse amount of culinary experiences that will prepare them for working in the culinary industry. Blueprint and design thinking will take our food trainees to become culinary architects as we use food to create a portfolio of meals Program Includes program design, materials and supplies, site coordination culinary / event staff, and all consumables including food, equipment, and beverages for all meetings.
- Students will experience this 15-hour masterclass experience engaging in hands-on basic ‘chef-style’ as well as dipping toes into kitchen chemistry and molecular gastronomy lessons.
- Our fun and fast-paced learning experience includes hand washing & germs, Yeast, and Microbes.
- Micro-certifications for students achieving over 75% on final project. and all consumables including food, equipment, and beverages for all meetings
- Participants will take the ServSafe Food Handlers Licensing & address subjects in pastry, beverage, protein, fruit, and vegetable preparation.
- Students will examine catering and food truck culinary models as well as the fast-expanding cottage and ghost kitchen industry.
- Students will experience norms and protocols for working in the culinary industry and learn personal space preparation, cooking, food prep, and post-pandemic cleaning of food preparation & service areas.
Using experiential learning techniques, participants will create dishes & meals for judges review at each meeting, self-evaluate personal and team performance and get exposure to common kitchen tools while innovating and creating healthy meals. All meetings include a meal, & beverage.**Participants must bring 1:1 technology for ePortfolio development to each class.
